We kicked ass. I decorated all my amps with plastic soldiers. I think we were quite a spectacle. A lot of those early shows, we couldn’t finish the set because the equipment would be trashed within 15 minutes. Damon would jump on Alex and they’d be like a drunken giraffe coming towards me. My pedals would come apart and we’d all end up in a heap. I suppose that’s quite exciting to watch. The American shows were like that. I don’t know if the quality of music was any good.
