Reporter: Do you care that people have used words like “insane, crazy, mental and scary” to describe you?
Manson: It’s only their reflections. That’s who they want me to be, that’s what I will reflect back. It ain’t got nothing to do with me.
Reporter: Then why do you act the way you do? Why the act?
Manson: It’s only an act. An act. I am locked up 23 hours a day for 20, this is the only time they let me out of my cage. You give me a dime and I’ll dance for you. You throw me a bone and I will say whatever you want. I don’t care too much about these interviews because I know you’ll only print lies anyways.
Reporter: Then why do you do them?
Manson: To get out of the cage. To communicate. To keep the myth rolling.
